Emmi Solutions to Present Insights on Best Practices for Patient Engagement at The Cleveland Clinic’s 6th Annual Patient Experience: Empathy + Innovation Summit

Taking place on May 17-20, 2015, at the Cleveland Convention Center, the summit is devoted to exploring patient experience as a key differentiator essential to healthcare delivery. Bringing together leaders in patient experience, healthcare and nursing, the summit fosters debate and candid discussion of key issues that drive a positive experience with the goal of delivering the best clinical, physical and emotional experience to patients and families.
Among the summit’s featured speakers is Geri Lynn Baumblatt, Executive Director of Patient Engagement for Emmi Solutions. She will be speaking with Kerry O’Connell, a dedicated patient-safety advocate, on the topic of how healthcare organizations can institute practices and implement tools to encourage more engaging patient-provider relationships. In addition to sharing best practices for patient engagement, their presentation will also showcase how healthcare technology that is designed in partnership with patients and providers can be used in clinical settings to break down barriers to reduce anxiety, improve competence, understanding, relational dynamics and communication. Ms. Baumblatt and Mr. O’Connell will be presenting on Monday, May 18th from 2 – 3:30 PM Eastern.

Throughout the summit, Emmi Solutions will be generating donations for Harvest for Hunger, a non-profit organization that supports local hunger relief organizations spanning 21 counties in Northeast and North Central Ohio. With each dollar equating to four meals, Emmi’s contribution will result in a minimum of 1000 meals for families in need.
